Location: San Antonio, Texas
Schedule: Onsite | Monday–Friday
Industry: Managed IT Services / Technology Consulting
Salary: Up to $110,000

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join a growing Professional Services team supporting enterprise technology projects across a diverse client base. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment, enjoys bringing structure to complex projects, and excels at managing multiple customer engagements from initiation through completion.

You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, coordinating technical teams, managing project timelines, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful project delivery while helping mature project management best practices within a growing PMO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple concurrent IT infrastructure and technology implementation projects from kickoff through completion.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource assignments.
  • Lead project meetings, customer status updates, and internal coordination sessions while documenting action items and project decisions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers, engineers, sales, and operations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Coordinate project resources, maintenance windows, implementation schedules, and customer communications.
  • Identify project risks, remove roadblocks, and elevate issues when necessary to keep projects on track.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting notes, change requests, decision logs, and status reports.
  • Support continuous improvement of project management processes, templates, and delivery standards.
  • Ensure projects are properly documented and transitioned for successful completion, handoff, and invoicing.
Qualifications
  • 4–7 years of project management or project coordination experience in an IT, Managed Services (MSP), Professional Services, or technology consulting environment.
  • Proven experience managing multiple simultaneous customer-facing technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, risk management, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with technical engineers, operations teams, sales, and external customers.
  • Ability to organize incomplete information into structured project plans and actionable deliverables.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, CAPM, or similar Project Management certification.
  • Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP), VAR, Systems Integrator, or Professional Services organization.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, or managed services projects.
  • Experience with Statements of Work (SOWs), change management, maintenance windows, and project closeout processes.
  • Previous experience supporting or helping build a Project Management Office (PMO).
