Job Description
Sr. Client Technology Consultant
Locations: Jacksonville, FL
About the Role
SS&C, a leading provider of innovative software and services for the global investment management industry, is seeking a Sr. Client Technology Consultant to join our Black Diamond Wealth Solutions Service organization.
As our client service organization continues to evolve, we're investing in technology, automation, and AI to create a more scalable, proactive, and exceptional client experience. This newly created role will help lead that transformation.
The Client Technology Consultant serves as a strategic technology advisor to both our clients and our internal Client Experience organization. This individual will identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate manual processes, and leverage AI to create more efficient operations and better client outcomes. Working across Client Service, Product, Engineering, Operations, and directly with clients, you'll help organizations maximize the value of the Black Diamond platform while shaping the future of how we deliver service.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable facilitating a discovery session with a client executive, consulting with internal service teams on operational improvements, building AI-powered automations, and partnering with technical teams to bring innovative ideas to life.
How You Will Make an Impact
  • You'll help modernize the client experience by identifying repetitive work, simplifying complex processes, and implementing technology solutions that allow both our clients and our service teams to focus on higher-value work.
  • You enjoy asking "Why do we do it this way?" and are energized by finding better answers.
  • You thrive at the intersection of client consulting, business process improvement, technology, and AI.
  • You are naturally curious and enjoy uncovering opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and emerging technologies.
  • You communicate effectively with business leaders, operational teams, technical stakeholders, and clients, translating business challenges into practical, scalable technology solutions.

What You Will Get To Do:
Client Technology Consulting
  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to clients, helping them optimize their operational workflows and maximize the value of the Black Diamond platform.
  • Conduct discovery sessions with clients to understand business processes, operational challenges, and opportunities for automation.
  • Recommend AI-enabled solutions, workflow improvements, and best practices that improve efficiency, scalability, and the overall client experience.
  • Partner with Client Advocates, Relationship Managers, and Implementation teams to identify strategic consulting opportunities for existing clients.
  • Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and consultative recommendations to clients on emerging technologies and automation capabilities.

AI & Automation
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows across both client environments and internal Client Experience teams.
  • Design, build, test, and maintain AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions using modern automation platforms and low-code/no-code technologies.
  • Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies that improve productivity, operational efficiency, and the client experience.
  • Develop reusable automation solutions that can be leveraged across multiple clients and internal teams.

Business Process Improvement
  • Analyze client and internal workflows to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with business leaders to document current and future-state processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using AI, automation, and operational best practices.
  • Establish success metrics and measure the impact of technology initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Client Service, Implementation, Operations, Product Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Influence product strategy by identifying recurring client challenges and recommending enhancements based on real-world operational needs.
  • Pilot new technologies and support enterprise adoption across Client Experience.
  • Educate and coach both clients and internal teams on AI tools, automation capabilities, and technology best practices.

Required Experience
  • Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for identifying new ways to apply technology, AI, and automation to solve business problems, improve operational efficiency, and enhance client outcomes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management technology, fintech, or a related industry.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and automation technologies to improve business processes, increase operational efficiency, or enhance client experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend scalable technology solutions.
  • Strong consultative and relationship management skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to facilitate discovery sessions, ask thoughtful questions, and translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong customer focus with a passion for helping clients and colleagues achieve better business outcomes through technology.

What Sets You Apart
  • Experience implementing or supporting enterprise software platforms within financial services.
  • Experience in Professional Services, Software Implementation, Client Success, Consulting, Business Analysis, or Solution Consulting.
  • Hands-on experience using AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, Gemini, or other large language model technologies in a business environment.
  • Experience designing or deploying AI assistants, copilots, prompts, or intelligent workflows to solve business problems.
  • Familiarity with APIs, systems integrations, Salesforce, Jira, SQL, or low-code/no-code development platforms.
  • Experience leading digital transformation, operational excellence, or process improvement initiatives.
