Job Description
Are you an experienced freight brokerage professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to keep freight moving?
In this role, you'll take ownership of customer freight by managing shipments from pickup through delivery, quoting competitive pricing, building carrier relationships, and providing exceptional service to customers.
We're looking for someone who understands the freight brokerage industry, can confidently source capacity, negotiate rates, and proactively solve problems while maintaining strong customer relationships. If you're a "power broker" who enjoys moving freight and delivering results, we'd love to talk with you.
What You'll Do
  • Manage customer freight from tender through final delivery while ensuring exceptional service.
  • Quote competitive freight rates to customers based on current market conditions and capacity.
  • Source and secure qualified carrier partners through relationship building and strategic carrier procurement.
  • Negotiate carrier rates while balancing profitability and service expectations.
  • Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery, proactively communicating updates, delays, and solutions to customers.
  • Enter and manage load information within our proprietary transportation management system (TMS).
  • Maintain accurate shipment documentation and ensure all required paperwork is completed.
  • Build long-term relationships with both customers and carrier partners to create repeat business and dependable capacity.
  • Partner with Sales and Operations teams to develop creative transportation solutions and resolve service issues.
  • Identify opportunities to increase margins while maintaining outstanding customer service.
  • Utilize load boards and industry tools as one component of sourcing capacity while prioritizing relationship-driven carrier partnerships.

Benefits:
  • On-site training and career development
  • Casual dress code
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance benefits
  • Paid holidays and paid time off

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of freight brokerage, carrier sales, or account management experience required.
  • Experience providing freight brokerage services within the auto industry strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to independently move freight and manage multiple customer accounts in a brokerage environment.
  • Experience quoting customer pricing and negotiating carrier rates.
  • Strong understanding of truckload transportation, market conditions, routing, and capacity management.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer and carrier relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience using a TMS, CRM, DAT, Truckstop, or similar transportation platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while managing competing priorities.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
