Proliance Highlands Surgery Center is a high-volume, fast-paced ambulatory surgery center specializing in orthopedics and ENT. We consistently run a full schedule with a wide range of complex surgical procedures, from total joint replacements, spine to advanced ENT cases. Our team includes professionals who have been with us since opening 17+ years ago as well as highly skilled new team members. Position Summary
The Surgical Technologist provides hands-on technical support to surgeons and the OR team before, during, and after procedures. This role requires strong anticipation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a high-expectation, high-accountability environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The key duties and responsibilities of the Surgical Technologist include, but are not limited to:
  • Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff in a busy, fast-moving ASC
  • Maintain a friendly, professional, and positive attitude
  • Prepare, handle, and manage instruments, equipment, and supplies
  • Anticipate surgeon needs during complex orthopedic and ENT cases
  • Maintain the sterile field at all times
  • Ensure equipment is available, functional, and ready for use
  • Assist with supply counts, inventory, and cost-effective usage
  • Complete required continuing education
  • Participate in department committees and improvement initiatives
  • Identify and report safety concerns to protect patients and staff

Education/Experience
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
  • Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
  • Current State licensure and CPR
  • Minimum 2 years of prior surgical experience preferred
  • Orthopedic experience required
