Part-Time Position: approximately 17 hours a week

Hours:

You need to be available to work the following schedule.

Week 1
Tuesday: 9:00 am โ€“ 3:15 pm
Thursday: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 5:00pm
Week 2
Sunday: 1:00 pm โ€“ 5:00 pm
Tuesday: 9:00 am - 3:15 pm
Thursday: 9:00 am - 3:00pm


Hourly Wage: $18.13 - 22.67/hr. Offers are made within this range based on competencies, experience, and internal equity.

Position Details:

The Addison Public Library is seeking a customer-focused Information Technology Services Associate to provide assistance and training to patrons using computers, software applications, and other digital services offered by the library. Along with providing an exceptional patron experience at the Information Technology Services desk, you can assist patrons using makerspace equipment and perform basic troubleshooting.

Who You Are:

  • A superb communicator able to communicate clearly and effectively with the public and staff.
  • A people person who is patient and able to help patrons of all ages and knowledge levels, many of whom have limited technology or English language skills.
  • A person familiar with Windows and Mac computers, web searching and emailing, Microsoft Office and Google Apps, Apple and Android tablets/smartphones, Wi-Fi connection, printing, scanning, photocopying, and can perform basic troubleshooting.
  • An independent worker with the ability to set priorities, make independent decisions, and exercise discretion with patrons and staff.
  • A team player who collaborates with others to help solve complex problems.

Qualifications:
