The Opportunity:

The Lead/Senior Specialist - SAP FICO - Fixed Assets Accounting position is primarily responsible for supporting the SAP S4 Finance modules for users with in-depth expertise in SAP FICO - Fixed Assets Accounting and knowledgeable and experienced with other modules such as SD, MM & PP, along with the corresponding business processes and related project implementation. The candidate will use in-depth analysis skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to implement effective solutions and provide support services to end users. Additional responsibilities include managing the development and maintenance of system documentation, procedures, and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Key member of the configuration team is responsible for the functional design, configuration, and validation of the SAP solution supporting Finance in the area of Fixed Asset Accounting (AA).
  • Ability to work on enterprise solutions and support legacy innovation challenges
  • Opportunity to complete a holistic solution by defining functional design gaps and solutions for objects to add to the system.
  • Facilitate training sessions for the users where appropriate.
  • Ensure appropriate support and new development documentation is followed (i.e., scope, design, test plans, issues, and cutover lists, project plans).
  • Demonstrate effective team skills with strong oral and written communications and deliverables.
  • Facilitate the issue resolution process by tracking the status of issues in process.

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent work experience

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of industry and/or consulting experience in SAP FICO
  • Functional/technical proficiency with at least 4+ full life cycle SAP implementations and
  • Experience and expertise in designing, implementing, and supporting the asset accounting modules in the new asset accounting with S4HANA
  • Experience and expertise in maintaining multiple depreciation areas, including GAAP, tax for the US in asset accounting across multiple parallel ledgers
  • Understanding of Asset Retirement Obligations, Group asset accounting, and depreciation
  • Knowledge of S4HANA, Fiori and analytical models
  • Integration experience with Project Systems and General Ledger
  • Techno functional skills and ability to conduct detailed analysis
  • Experience defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
  • Strong project management, configuration, and design skills
  • Must have a demonstrated strong desire to excel and be committed to building eminence
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes such as Agile, Waterfall, etc.
  • Strong tracking, coordination, and project planning skills\
  • Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines
  • Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while still maintaining high quality standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the Midstream / Downstream Oil & Gas industry is a plus
  • SAP Certification is a plus
