Job description

Role Overview

Lightbridge Academy is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Part-Time Group Teacher to support the daily classroom experience for children in a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The Group Teacher will work collaboratively with lead teachers and staff to implement age-appropriate activities, encourage social and emotional development, and maintain classroom routines that support each child’s growth and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing daily classroom activities and lesson plans
  • Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
  • Follow all health, safety, and school policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and administration
  • Help manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques
  • Assist with meal times, transitions, nap time, and daily routines
  • Observe and report children’s progress or concerns to lead teachers or directors
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Early childhood education coursework preferred
  • Previous childcare, daycare, or classroom experience preferred
  • Passion for working with young children and supporting early childhood development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
  • Reliable, patient, and professional demeanor
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
