Gibson McIlvain Company has been providing high quality wood products since 1798 and is a trusted and well-known name and hardwood authority in the lumber business.  As the Importer of Record, Lumber yard, and Architectural Millwork House we have total quality control throughout the entire supply chain from the forest anywhere in the world all the way to your job site. With centuries of experience, we are a powerful supplier of both domestic and imported, exotic hardwood lumber such as Teak, Sapele, Genuine Mahogany, Black Walnut, and Ipe. J. Gibson McIlvain is more than just materials and with our comprehensive architectural millwork facility, we offer custom millwork services from interior trim and cabinetry to exterior siding, pergolas, and furniture.



Job Responsibilities

  • General facility housekeeping. 
  • Refill and restock bathroom facilities. 
  • Empty office trash 3 days per week and sweep/vacuum stairs and hallways. 
  • Change filters in the office building monthly; change light bulbs as needed. 
  • Empty breakroom, garage, boiler room trash. 
  • Maintain lawn, landscaping and general lumber yard maintenance. 
  • Mowing, weed-eating and spraying weed killer. 
  • Keep weeds and trash cleaned out of drains. 
  • Pick up sticks, trash, and bands across the yard. 
  • Clean up sawdust around the sawdust trailer and collectors. 
  • Clean out gutters and downspouts (using high-lift). 
  • Run sweeper around the yard, office, and mill. 
  • Use skid steerer to grade yard when needed. 
  • Clean the doors at the mill. 
  • Paint buildings as needed. 
  • Assist with snow removal in the winter. 
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager. 
Requirements:
  • Landscape Maintenance Experience – 1 year required 
  • Reliable transportation to White Marsh, MD. 
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm 
  • Ability to work outdoors, year-round regardless of weather elements 
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana)
