Special Education Teacher – Chicago, IL

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Position: Special Education Teacher
Schedule: Full Time
Start Date: August 17

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a school-based team in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time opportunity for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and collaborating with a strong support team.

Position Details

  • Full-time position
  • Teach 3 inclusion classes
  • Teach 2 resource classes
  • 2 prep periods
  • Caseload of approximately 10–15 students
  • Case Manager available to oversee compliance and provide ongoing support
  • First day: August 17

Qualifications

  • Appropriate Illinois Special Education teaching credentials
  • Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, service providers, and support staff
