Title: Lead Preschool Teacher - 2-Year-Old Classroom | Full-Time | NYC Early Childhood Educator

Our licensed childcare center and private preschool in New York City creates classrooms where children thrive through play-based learning, emergent curriculum, creative curriculum approaches, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
We are seeking a full-time Lead Preschool Teacher / Early Childhood Educator to guide our 2-year-old toddler classroom in an innovative early learning center. This role is perfect for experienced toddler teachers and educators passionate about child-centered instruction, Teaching Strategies, and NYS early learning standards.
What You'll Do
Lead your toddler classroom with warmth, creativity, and purpose:
  • Lead a 2-year-old preschool classroom in a licensed childcare center, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NYS early learning standards.
  • Design and deliver experiences using play-based learning, emergent curriculum, creative curriculum approaches, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
  • Observe, assess, and track progress with Teaching Strategies GOLD, supporting each child's developmental milestones.
  • Build meaningful relationships with families and communicate regularly about progress.
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized early childhood classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with your teaching team to plan and execute curriculum aligned with best practices in early childhood education.
  • Guide classroom routines, preschool classroom management, and daily operations with professionalism and care.
What We're Looking For
  • 3-5 years of preschool teaching experience, preferably as a Lead Teacher, Head Teacher, or Toddler Teacher.
  • Experience in a licensed childcare center, private preschool, or early learning center.
  • New York State B-2 or N-6 Teaching Certification preferred, or active study plan toward certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with play-based learning, emergent curriculum, creative curriculum approaches, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
  • Passion for supporting young children's growth, curiosity, and potential.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
  • CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
