Job description

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or classroom assistant preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, other staff, and students
  • Compassionate, patient, and eager to help children with varying abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications are a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom instruction by assisting teachers with daily activities
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who need extra help
  • Encourage positive behavior and model respectful interactions
  • Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed
  • Monitor student progress and report observations to teaching staff
  • Assist with classroom organization and the preparation of materials
