Job description

Veterinary Assistant - For People Who Want to Be Hands-On (Not Stuck Watching)
Let's be real-some assistant roles end up being mostly cleaning, holding, and running around without ever really learning or growing.
That's not what we do.
We're hiring a Veterinary Assistant who wants to be involved, learning, and making a real impact in patient care-not just standing on the sidelines.
What Makes This Clinic Different
  • Assistants are actively involved in patient care-not just extra hands
  • A team that teaches, supports, and respects each other
  • Clear workflows so your day isn't constant chaos
  • Opportunities to learn technical skills and grow in the field
  • A positive, accountable environment-no drama, no cliques

If you want to build real experience, you'll get it here.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
This is a busy, hands-on role where you'll stay moving and learning:
  • Assist technicians and veterinarians during exams and procedures
  • Safely restrain patients and keep them as stress-free as possible
  • Prepare exam rooms, instruments, and surgical areas
  • Help with basic lab work and patient care tasks
  • Clean and maintain equipment and clinic spaces (yes, it matters)
  • Support patient flow so appointments stay on track
  • Communicate with team members to keep things running smoothly
  • Jump in wherever needed-because teamwork is everything here

You'll be part of the care team-not just watching from the sidelines.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous veterinary or animal handling experience preferred
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic-you don't wait to be told what to do
  • Ability to stay organized and multitask
  • Calm, confident handling of animals (even the nervous ones)
  • Positive attitude and team-player mindset
  • Interest in growing in veterinary medicine (big plus)
What This Job Is NOT
  • You won't be ignored or treated like "just help"
  • You won't be stuck doing the same repetitive task all day
  • You won't be left without support or training
What You Get
  • Competitive pay
  • Benefits (health, dental, vision)
  • PTO + holidays
  • On-the-job training and skill development
  • A team that actually supports you
  • Real exposure to veterinary medicine (not just the basics)
Why This Role Stands Out
You'll gain real experience, build confidence, and be part of a team that values what you bring-even as an assistant. If you're thinking about growing in this field, this is where you start doing it the right way.
