Job Summary Job Summary Primary Duties: The Religion Instructor is responsible for delivering high quality instruction and contributing to a coherent, standards aligned Religion program.

This includes designing and implementing engaging lessons, assessing student learning, and providing targeted support to meet the needs of all students. The teaching load consists of five sections of Religion courses. Bishop Alemany High School is expanding and hiring multiple Religion Instructors, and teaching assignments may include a combination of courses: Christology, Christ in Scripture, Catholic Morality, Sacraments, Mission of the Church, and Paschal Mystery based on department needs and the candidate's experience.

The instructor will collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment across courses, support student growth through clear and consistent expectations, and contribute to a positive and academically focused classroom environment. Description of Position: A Religion instructor is part of the Religion Department that reports to the Religion Department Chair, and the school's administrative team (President, Principal and Assistant Principals). Essential Job Functions: Teaching courses within the Religion Department Create an environment in the classroom and in all areas of co-curricular responsibility that nurtures the development of faith, integrity, and truth.

Design and implement regular formative and summative assessments to measure student learning. Proficiency in curriculum planning, instruction, and assessment. Be an active member of our Catholic school community by participating in religious events (Masses, retreats, days of recollection, penance services, etc.) and non-religious events like athletics, performances, rallies, etc

Chaperone and supervise during the school day and some evenings and weekends. Meet with students and parents as necessary before and after school. Requirements / Qualifications Requirements/Education and Qualifications: B.A
