Discovery Kidzone is looking for a caring, experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our Helena team. In this role, you'll create a nurturing classroom where infants feel safe, supported, and excited to learn while helping guide and mentor the teachers who work alongside you.

What You'll Do

As a Lead Infant Teacher, you'll be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom while building strong relationships with children, families, and your teaching team.

You'll:

  • Lead daily classroom routines for infants and young toddlers
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences
  • Create a warm, responsive, and engaging classroom environment
  • Support children's cognitive, social, emotional, language, and physical development
  • Build trusting relationships with children and their families
  • Observe, document, and communicate children's developmental progress
  • Maintain consistent classroom routines and expectations
  • Mentor and support Assistant Teachers while promoting teamwork
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom
  • Ensure compliance with Montana licensing requirements and Discovery Kidzone policies
  • Partner with center leadership to maintain high-quality classroom operations


What We're Looking For

We're looking for an educator who is ready to lead with confidence, patience, and a genuine passion for infants.

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a licensed childcare or early learning program
  • Experience working with infants or toddlers preferred
  • Leadership experience is a plus, but not required
  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework preferred
  • Strong classroom management, communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Dependable, patient, professional, and team-oriented
  • Passion for supporting children's early development
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
  • Ability to complete all required Montana licensing, training, and background check requirements
