We are seeking a Social Studies Teacher at Freeport High School who will provide rigorous, high-quality instruction and support to our students.
Qualifications:
1. Must hold a current Social Studies certification in the State of Maine.
2. Bachelor degree (four year) from an accredited institution.
3. Minimum of two-year classroom teaching experience preferred.
4. Completed fingerprinting in accordance with school requirements.
Essential Functions:
1. Ability to create and maintain positive relations with students, school personnel, and parents.
2. Ability to collaborate with the appropriate stakeholders to maintain high quality instruction and student support.
3. Demonstrates sound judgment and effective communication skills.
4. Ability to be reflective on instructional practices in order to enhance student achievement.
5. Fulfills all performance responsibilities of a Social Studies Teacher in high school setting.
Pay for this position is based on the CEA Collective Bargaining Agreement Schedule A Salary Scale and ranges from $54,366.67 to $108,721.91 annually, depending on education and experience.
Requirements:
Must hold valid (700)- Social Studies Certification from the ME Dept. of Education.
