Advanced Practice Nurse Family Nurse Practitioner
The Ellmer School of Nursing at Old Dominion University invites qualified advanced practice registered nurses with certification as a family nurse practitioner to apply for a full-time, 12-month, open rank faculty position in our graduate nursing program to start August 1, 2026.
We are building a diverse faculty and searching for a faculty member who will share and contribute to our mission to transform healthcare by:
- Preparing exceptional nurses.
- Extending nursing science.
- Partnering with our global community.
Faculty responsibilities will include didactic and clinical instruction in our advanced practice graduate nursing programs and mentor graduate nursing students. Courses are offered year-round. Participation in scholarship will round out the faculty member's workload.
Minimum qualifications and additional considerations include:
- Experience teaching in graduate nursing program.
- Familiarity with online/web-enhanced teaching strategies.
- Competition of didactic course work or certification in nursing education is a plus.
