Job description

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide direct, one-on-one, and small group instruction to students in alignment with their IEP goals
  • Assess students' academic progress and deficits, adapt teaching strategies, and implement intervention to meet their unique learning styles
  • Assess benchmark students for reading levels and other literacy skills
  • Collaborate with grade level teachers and share strategies/interventions
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP documentation
  • Attend and participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development opportunities
  • Implement behavior management strategies in alignment with individual student needs
  • Provide reading instruction and intervention for struggling students
  • Collaborate with Response to Intervention committee for struggling readers
  • Plan and implement remediation programming for IREAD-3 and ILEARN math
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by administration
