   Position Summary The Elementary Art Teacher is responsible for developing students' interest, ability, and creativity in visual arts by implementing a standards-based curriculum. The teacher fosters a positive learning environment that encourages artistic expression, critical thinking, and appreciation of the arts in grades 2-5.  Key Responsibilities         Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district, state, and national visual arts standards.
        Instruct students in techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, and digital art.
        Foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence through hands-on projects.
        Incorporate art history, cultural perspectives, and interdisciplinary connections into lessons.
        Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of grades, behavior, and attendance.
        Organize and display student artwork throughout the school and at exhibitions or community events.
        Maintain a safe, organized, and respectful classroom environment.
        Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support student development.
        Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
