Position Summary
The College of Sciences, Health & Pharmacy at Roosevelt University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor, Health Sciences, to begin August 15, 2026. This is a full-time, 9 month position.
The successful candidate will teach eight courses per academic year. The primary teaching responsibilities will include core courses within the Health Sciences program at the undergraduate level. Applicants are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, be comfortable in and support a working environment that fosters diversity, use technology effectively in their teaching, and be committed to advancing social justice.
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Providing instruction to undergraduate students
  • Teaching in multiple modalities: in-person, hybrid, and online asynchronous
  • Proficiency with online teaching technologies such as Blackboard Ultra and Zoom
  • Advising Health Science students
  • Collaborating with community partners
  • Contributing to curriculum development and accreditation data collection/documentation
  • Engaging in department, college, and university service activities

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$70,000
