Job description

Inspire and guide young learners by bringing your expertise in English language instruction to a supportive educational setting. This contract opportunity calls for a passionate General Education Teacher to fulfill an ELL (English Language Learner) role, making a meaningful difference for students in the early and intermediate grades.

This part-time position (.50 FTE) offers a flexible schedule—preferred hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with shortened days to provide optimal balance. The primary focus will be on students from kindergarten through 4th grade, with occasional support for grades 5-12 as needed. Working with a manageable caseload of approximately 20 students, you’ll foster language acquisition, academic achievement, and confidence.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Valid teaching certification in General Education and/or English
  • Experience working with English Language Learners (ELL), preferably in a K-12 setting
  • Knowledge of effective ELL instructional strategies and language development frameworks
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage students, staff, and families
