Job Title: Teacher Aide-Child Care
Department: Child Care, Infants/Toddlers
Location: Park Ridge Child Center, 1539, Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY- 14626.
Hours Per Week: Per-Diem
Schedule: Day Shift, Flexible-Operating hours are M-F 6.30 am-6 pm
Job Profile Summary
Position Summary:
Assist teacher in providing appropriate program for all children and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists the teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate program for all of the children.
  • Assists in creating an environment that supports children's growth and development.
  • Develops and maintains a positive relationship with all of the children and their families.
  • Effectively guides children's behavior in an age appropriate and positive manner.
  • Constructively participates in staff meetings and meetings with supervisor.
  • Meets the physical, social, cognitive, emotional and cultural needs of individual children.
  • Attends 15 hours of training every year.
  • Communicates appropriately with families regarding childrens daily activities both verbally and written as needed.
  • Ensures the safety of the children and promotes good health habits.

One year of work experience with small children preferred
