JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for food preparation and for opening, maintaining, cleaning, and closing the Team Member Dining Room (TDR).


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards.
  • Knowledge of casino promotions.
  • Prepare both TDR and Main Kitchen food items for daily service.
  • Cold and hot wells are kept clean and well maintained throughout shift.
  • Responsible for all food items being rotated.
  • Monitor food temperatures on all hot and cold foods.
  • Ensure food quality and quantity in food service area.
  • Communicate with Main Kitchen regarding updates and menu changes.
  • Responsible for all food items and paper products being stocked in the TDR.
  • Clean all areas of kitchen and TDR to maintain the highest standards of food, equipment and facility sanitation.
  • Ensure work areas are in compliance with OSHA and HACCP health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS


Required skills and knowledge:

  • 1 year of experience in a kitchen facility.
  • Food Handlers Permit.
  • Current knowledge of occupational safety issues and food safety guidelines.
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a Class II gaming license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for assigned shift.
  • Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
