Job description

Senior Aegis Combat System Specialist
BecTech is seeking a Senior Aegis Combat System Specialist to join our team in support of the Surface Combat Systems Training Center (SCSTC) and Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD). In this position you will provide operational mission support for real world radar data collection missions. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.
Responsibilities:
  • Operational Support
    • Provide operational mission support for radar data collection missions.
    • Provide operational and technical support against real world data collection events.
    • Collaborate with other agencies and NSWCDD laboratories to coordinate the data transfer of raw data and the analysis of collected radar data and coordinate the data release to the designated Intelligence Community (IC).
    • Assist with updating applicable fleet Tactical Memorandums (TACMEMOs) and generate updates for the maintenance of the Non-Tactical Data Collection (NTDC) patch and Technical Data Collection (TDC) baseline capabilities used for existing Aegis baselines, and associated documentation.
  • Data Collection of Operations
    • Support and attend appropriate Intelligence Community (IC) meetings, conferences, seminars, etc., related to Aegis Special Data Collection operations and respond to IC questions concerning mission capabilities.
    • Periodically accompany members of the NSWCDD reach back cell (Govt) to brief post mission analysis to Fleet Commands, Theater and Combatant Commanders (COCOMs) as well as the shipboard level on special data collection requirements.
  • Training Support
    • Support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) with Systems Software orientation of Aegis ship crews and battle staffs in Non-Tactical Data Collection (NTDC) operation, Tactical Data Collection (TDC) Operations, Coherent Data Collection System (CDCS) installation and operations, and other Aegis Special Data Collection matters and activities.

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Four (4) years of combat systems shipboard experience on board an AEGIS or SSDS platform including (2) deployments as a CIC watch-stander.
  • Four (4) years as a Combat Systems Instructor.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in supervising the planning, organizing, review and implementation of Radar Data Collection Operational needs and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), training materials, and operational materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate the Aegis Combat System (ACS) in multiple configurations to validate radar data collection missions.
