Title: Metal Worker
Client: Aerospace Industry

Location: Carson City, NV 89706
Duration: 6 Months (Temporary)
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Description
Responsibilities
• Perform blending of surfaces and apply or remove excess material using hand tools or machinery
• Set up and use various machines, fixtures, and tools
• Modify parts according to specifications
• Mix production materials as required
• Follow production specifications at all times
• Embrace and implement continuous improvement and lean principles
• Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards
• Ensure compliance with the Quality Control Manual (QCM)
• Be aware of and comply with ISO and Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) quality requirements
• Ensure compliance with Company RSM and ISO/TCS requirements
• Adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental policies
• Adhere to and promote the Corporate Code of Ethical Standards
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Marginal Duties (Performed Occasionally)
• Perform other tasks in the facility as needed
• Read and write in English
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Use handheld measuring tools
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Wear required PPE including eye protection in production areas and hearing protection when posted
• Use chemical-resistant clothing, apron, gloves, boots, and face shields depending on job duty
Physical Requirements
• Carry components up to 10 lbs for distances up to 100 yards at waist level
• Employees are not permitted to lift or push objects over 35 lbs
• Assistance must be requested for lifting objects over 35 lbs
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous metal working experience preferred but not required
• Ability to speak and listen effectively to follow instructions in English
• Ability to write and speak complete sentences and understand verbal and written instructions in English
