Roles & Responsibilities
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled LabVantage LIMS Developer & Support Engineer responsible for delivering high quality LabVantage LIMS solutions, enhancements, and integrations while also providing functional and technical support to business users. This hybrid role combines hands-on development (70%) with application support and maintenance (30%) to ensure the smooth operation, customization, and continuous improvement of laboratory workflows within the LabVantage environment.
The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with US based business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and cross functional teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, business objectives, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Development Responsibilities (70%)
• Design, configure, and develop LabVantage LIMS components, including workflows, master data, instrument integrations, sample life cycles, and user interfaces.
• Customize LabVantage modules using Java, JavaScript, SQL, and LabVantage configuration tools.
• Develop enhancements, new features, and optimized solutions that align with laboratory business requirements.
• Build and maintain RESTful API integrations with external systems such as instruments, ELN, ERP, and data warehouses.
• Perform data modeling, schema development, and data migration activities (XML, JSON, relational databases).
• Contribute to application architecture, design discussions, and solution documentation.
• Work with DevOps teams to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient build and deployment processes.
• Introduce modern technologies and development practices to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute actively to sprint planning, estimation, and delivery.

Support Responsibilities (30%)
• Provide L2/L3 support for LabVantage applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and user issues.
• Troubleshoot configuration, data, workflow, and integration related problems.
• Monitor application performance and ensure system health, availability, and reliability.
• Analyze recurring issues and identify long-term fixes or enhancements to prevent future incidents.
• Support system upgrades, patches, testing, and validation activities.
• Assist laboratory users with system functionality, training, and best practices.
• Coordinate with global teams to maintain consistent and high-quality support coverage.

Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of software development experience, preferably in enterprise systems.
• 8+ years of hands-on Java development expertise.
• 5+ years of HTML, CSS, JavaScript programming for UI enhancements.
• 5+ years of experience developing or consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong experience with data modeling, relational schemas, XML, JSON.
• Direct experience developing or supporting LabVantage LIMS applications (highly preferred).
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of Test Automation, Continuous Integration, and agile development.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, iterative environment and manage both project and support responsibilities.
