Job Description

Construction  Project Director — Sports Stadiums (Dallas, TX)

We are hiring a seasoned Project Director to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale sports stadium and arena projects as the General Contractor in the South Region of the US.  You will own outcomes for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and stakeholder alignment from preconstruction through turnover and close-out. You will build and mentor a high-performing team (precon, field ops, estimating, VDC/BIM, safety, quality, commissioning) and drive trade partner performance to meet project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle delivery (feasibility, preconstruction, procurement, GMP development, construction, commissioning, closeout).
  • Establish and manage project budget, schedule, and risk controls to meet or exceed commercial targets.
  • Oversee procurement strategy, solicitations, bid leveling, trade partner selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Direct field operations: work sequencing, logistics, site safety (OSHA compliance), quality assurance/quality control, and productivity.
  • Monitor financial performance.
  • Partner with owners, architects/engineers, owner’s reps, code officials, utilities, and community stakeholders to maintain alignment and approvals.
  • Interact with VDC/BIM.
  • Champion Safety-First culture.
  • Ensure permitting, inspections, TCO/CO milestones, commissioning, performance testing, and turnover.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Engineering or Construction Management or related curriculum and 10 years of relevant construction experience or AA/AS 12 years of relevant experience or HS/GED and 14 years of relevant experience all including a minimum of 2 years of leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Construction experience in the field of sports, arenas, stadium, etc.  
  • Experience with large entertainment clients.
  • Credentials: OSHA 30, PMP, DBIA, LEED AP, or Professional Engineer license.
  • Knowledge of large-scale commissioning, technology/infrastructure integration (AV, DAS, broadcast), and public-private development.
  • CMAR delivery experience and established trade partner relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with CMIC, Microsoft Project or other CM software.
