A substantial part of the 200-acre Viking Lakes mixed-use development, this destination is home to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters, Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center and TCO Stadium. The location is easily accessible from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Mall of America and airport, with additional uses for the planned development to include corporate offices, retail, restaurants and entertainment.
The 320-room luxury hotel features more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and pre-function space, including a 7,500-square-foot ballroom, a 4,410-square-foot event center and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meeting planners to utilize. From small board meetings, conferences and large galas or special events to Sunday football tailgates and more, the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel accommodates groups of all sizes with its robust meetings offerings, multiple food and beverage venues, a signature spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities.
Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor. This position is responsible for leading all facets of Front Office operations and will create an atmosphere in the Lobby conducive to the prompt and efficient handling of all guest needs, making the feel welcome and getting their stay off on the right start.

Salary for this position starts at (based on experience): $18.00/hour. Full Time Associates at Omni Viking Lakes are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Essential Job Functions:
  • Ensure that all arriving and departing guests are treated with maximum courtesy and are served expeditiously.
  • Maintain continuous liaison with Management, Reservations and Housekeeping staff to guarantee that all guests are receiving quality services that exceed their expectations.
  • Be alert to potential problems and malfunctions of hospitality services and make on- the- spot corrections, and complete second efforts.
  • Participate with other members of management in developing plans to deliver special services to selected targeted markets.
  • Oversee Loyalty Ambassadors daily tasks
  • Be involved in resolution of as many guests' complaints as possible.
  • Supervision of Bell, Door, Valet Staff, Concierge and Loyalty Ambassador.
  • Ensure Guest Services meet 4- diamond expectation to include: being knowledgeable of all hotel offerings, hours of operations, hotel directionals, proper verbiage/ greetings
  • Monitor and update Guest Services Medallia Tracking Board
  • Must be able to train new associates.
  • Perform Success Checklist for Bell, Valet, and Concierge staff.
  • Performs MOS monthly audits.
  • Collaborate with accounting team by solving discrepancies with charges related to guests and groups.
  • Assist Management team with Open Folios from guests.
  • Assists with OST Meeting content and agenda
  • Assists with Dispatch of Bell Up and Bell Down
  • Oversee/coordinate Group Bell Deliveries per group contact request.
  • Front Drive Management Support during busy times.
  • Daily Tasks to Ensure Select Guest Satisfaction and Reporting is Done.
  • Support Front Office Team, during break, peak periods with assisting guests at all times in all areas.
  • Support and Possibly Need to assist in Transporting Guests and/or Groups throughout the property.
  • Contact Transportation various transportation companies to assist with arranging guests' transportation.
  • Attend Weekly Resume, Rooms, and Leadership Meetings
  • Assist scheduling in Kronos, edits to payroll, completes gratuity spreadsheet for portage gratuities.
  • Collaborate with Sales department in order to assist with any room blocks and changes related to them.
  • Overseeing conduction of inventories of guest supplies and Concierge supplies and order as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Prior hospitality experience required.
  • Ability to teach, develop, and motivate others.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have an excellent driving record (less than 2 moving violations in the last two years)
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends.
