Job description

We are seeking Math Instructors / Math Tutors
  • Inspire young minds and share your passion for math learning with students in elementary, middle and high school.

Mathnasium of Tallahassee teaches students to understand, master and enjoy math. Our successful instructors:
  • Enjoy working with students of all levels and abilities.
  • Commit their time and talents to helping our Mathletes, their families and our fellow instructors.
  • Seek personal growth in their own abilities.

Position Overview
Successful candidates must be able to teach / tutor:
  • Elementary, middle school and high school math, including tutoring students in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and Pre-Calculus
  • Fluency to tutor students in Calculus, Statistics and Trigonometry is a plus.

You will be required to pass a math skills assessment and background check before being hired.
Hours
This position requires availability for a minimum of two to three shifts per week. Our instruction hours are:
  • Sunday: 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Monday - Thursday: 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

While we are closed for holidays, our closures do not match FSU, FAMU, TCC or local schools. Instructors are still expected to have availability to work despite classes at these institutions not being in session (i.e. - between semesters, spring break, etc.).
Compensation
Based upon experience and availability, plus quarterly bonuses. Earn merit salary increase following initial evaluation.
