TIME Organization, Inc is looking for Dynamic Community-Based One-to-One Support Staff provides direct supervision, mentoring, and behavioral support to foster care youth awaiting placement in the community. The role focuses on ensuring the safety, stability, and emotional well-being of each youth while helping them build social, coping, and life skills in preparation for successful placement.

Staff work under the direction of the Clinical Project Manager and Care Coordinator, implementing individualized service plans designed to promote positive behavior, emotional regulation, and community engagement

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Direct Support & Supervision

  • Provide one-to-one supervision and support to youth in the community, ensuring safety and adherence to program guidelines.
  • Model appropriate social and coping skills while assisting youth in developing independence, communication, and self-management.
  • Implement behavioral interventions and strategies as outlined in the youth’s individualized behavioral or treatment plan.
  • Accompany youth to appointments, activities, and community-based programs as needed.
  • Maintain professional boundaries and a trauma-informed approach in all interactions.

Behavioral & Clinical Support

  • Monitor and document behavioral progress, daily activities, and incidents in accordance with agency policy.
  • Communicate regularly with clinical supervisors and the treatment team regarding youth progress or concerns.
  • Participate in crisis prevention and de-escalation as trained; immediately report any incidents or safety concerns.
  • Reinforce positive behavior and provide support during emotional or behavioral challenges.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Complete all service notes, timesheets, and progress documentation accurately and timely.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to COMAR, DHR, and agency standards.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and required training sessions.

Certification & Training Requirement

  • Staff must obtain Certification as a Residential Child & Youth Care Practitioner (RCYCP) within 90 days of hire (per Maryland COMAR regulations).
  • TIME Organization will assist with preparation, study materials, and scheduling for the RCYCP examination.
  • Employees are required to complete all mandatory training, including CPI (Crisis Prevention & Intervention), CPR/First Aid, and Trauma-Informed Care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred).
  • At least one year of experience working with at-risk youth, foster care, or behavioral health populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage crises, maintain professionalism, and engage youth with empathy and consistency.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable transportation is required; staff may be assigned to multiple community sites and must be able to travel as needed.
  • Must pass a criminal background check (CJIS), child protective services (CPS) clearance, and sex offender registry check prior to hire.
