ABOUT THE ROLE

SITA Tax is seeking a seasoned and skilled international tax professional to oversee both direct and indirect tax matters in USA and Canada. This role operates within a diverse, truly multinational team and reports directly to SITAโ€™s Group Head of Tax.

Under the leadership of the Senior Director of Taxation, you will be responsible for providing tax advice and supporting the efficient tax implementation of approved business strategies. Your primary objectives will be to create, protect, and optimize value from a tax perspective, manage tax-related risks, and ensure full compliance with applicable tax laws and reporting obligations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Advise on tax planning strategies to manage the effective tax rate.
  • Identify, plan, and execute international tax projects.
  • Provide tax consulting and compliance expertise to the business.
  • Review and approve tax aspects of specific business projects.
  • Influence financial policies and regulations from a tax expert standpoint.
  • Support tax accounting and provision calculations.
  • Assist with financial statement tax disclosures at both global and local levels.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws across assigned regions and projects.
  • Support corporate control in managing tax compliance.
  • Defend SITAโ€™s tax positions during audits.

  • Over 7 years of post-qualification experience in tax analysis
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree with a specialization in Law, Accounting, or Tax
  • Extensive experience in indirect and direct taxes, ideally from a major accounting/law firm or multinational company

  • Strong expertise in GST(Goods and Services Tax) and withholding tax regulations
