Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tax Manager at MI Tax CPA in Bloomfield Hills, MI. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing client's financial statements, tax planning, tax preparation and other engagements. They will also collaborate and provide advice and support to our clients as well as training and mentoring of internal team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage tax return preparation and review for individuals, Partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, Trust/Estate, Michigan sales tax and excise tax filings.
  • Supervise in the preparation and review of financial statements and monthly bookkeeping processes.
  • Provide tax advisory strategies and accounting advisory services for our clients, research tax topics, and solve issues for our clients.
  • Manage client expectations and relationships.
  • Training and mentoring of employees.
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity, ethics and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license obtained or pursuing
  • 7-10 years public accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and laws
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft office products, specifically excel
  • QuickBooks Online experience preferred
  • CCH Axcess Tax software experience preferred
