Job description

American Trust & Custody, recently integrated as part of Ascensus, focuses on state-of-the-art trading and custodial reporting of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, managed accounts, unitized funds, equities, collectives, and self-directed brokerage accounts, integrate directly into clients' recordkeeping or trust accounting systems, allowing fully electronic processing, settlement, and reporting of trades and transactions.


The Tax Season Temp's responsibilities include answering incoming phone calls from clients with questions on their tax forms and logging returned form in excel. The Tax Season Temp facilitates the efficient operations of the Custody Asset Management and Control department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls from clients, and participants as needed
Maintain accounting controls by following corporate policies and procedures, including privacy policies
Respond to and resolve client inquiries timely
Work to get all phone calls answered and log returned forms on schedule
Interact with other internal departments

Assists Custody Asset Management and Control team with preparing and mailing tax forms as needed.
Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
Perform other related duties as assigned

Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Advanced Excel or Macro skills a plus.
Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills a must.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently while preserving accuracy; attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, and be an energetic self-starter.
Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction.
Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof-reading skills and follow-up effectively with internal staff and clients/customers.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
