We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Reviewer / Tax Manager to join our growing Scottsdale location. In this role, you will play a critical part in our tax compliance process by reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to quality and client service.
Responsibilities
  • Review complex federal, state, and local tax returns prepared by tax staff for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations
  • Provide technical guidance
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure clients take full advantage of all eligible deductions and credits
  • Collaborate with engagement teams to ensure timely and efficient completion of tax engagements
  • Research and analyze complex tax issues, including new tax laws and their implications
  • Assist in managing client expectations, engagement timelines, and deliverables
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with firm policies, procedures, and professional standards
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting clients and the profession
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives related to tax review procedures and workflow
  • Maintain tax prep priorities, deliverables, and deadlines
  • Work independently or as part of a team

Requirements
  • CPA required
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience reviewing and preparing tax returns
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree required
  • Experience with tax preparation and accounting
  • Experience in public accounting preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to professionally engage with clients, verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency working with a computer and software
  • Experience with compiled and reviewed financial statements a plus
  • Experience with Click Up, CCH/Engagement, and QuickBooks a big plus.

Work Arrangement
  • With training and proven experience, working hybrid is negotiable but is not guaranteed based on business needs.
  • We will prioritize candidates who are able to work in-office

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday
