The Tax Policy 1 and 2 Divisions (T1/T2) of the Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) are seeking a contractual projects analyst to support the divisions' management of capacity development (CD) projects. Tasks and duties include:

Divisional delivery management

Maintain project management systems and tools to help the DC and DDCs to keep the Medium-Term Workplan (MTW) up-to-date and delivery plans on track.

  • Prepare periodic assessments of MTW delivery and funding utilization.

Liaise with FAD's Resource Management Divisionregardingmission dates, staffing, and funding resources.

Input and update mission travel information for staff and experts on an ongoing basis.

Assist /T2's administrative staff in the management of experts contracting.

Contribute to the administration ofexternally financed CD projects, including preparing and reviewing reports and managing deadlines.

Data management tasks

Assists with information and knowledge gathering from internal and external sources. Research,collect,and compile information on topical tax policy related issues.

Create,maintain,and update quantitative and qualitative tax revenue relevant databases.

Workon special projects.

  • Develop andmaintaindivisional knowledge management tools to collate and coordinate information on best practices that can be drawn on by the professional staff in the divisions.
  • Develop andmaintaina divisional repository of "boxes, figures and tables" and other standardized CD materials that are drawn from technicalassistancereports prepared by the division and make this available to staff.
  • Develop and maintain a divisional repository of tax reform "success stories"
  • Assist division staff with the preparation of generic presentations drawn from the output of mission workshops and put these into a repository for future use on missions.Assiststaff tolocaterelevant resource material.
  • Expand the content and manage the development of the divisions' SharePoint site.
  • Provide system and process training and support to new technicalassistancestaff as they onboard.
  • Assist the DC and DDCs with preparation and managing of headquarters-led workshops and seminars.

Qualifications

The selected candidate mustpossess:

A combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of a secondary school education, or equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of four years of relevant experience, is required.

  • High levelof planning, organization, and multitasking skills as well as the ability to prioritize and manage competing assignments.
  • Excellent technical proficiency, including advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI. Familiarity with and effective use of AI-powered tools will be considered an asset.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and present information in a clear and actionable manner
  • Experience supporting projects, tracking deliverables, maintaining timelines, and following up on action items.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with Fund staff and external contacts at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, to learn quickly, and to work under tight deadlines.

Only candidates who are currently residing in the Washington DC metro area will be considered.

This is a one-year contractual appointment. Contractual appointments at the IMF are renewable for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, pending incumbent's performance, budget availability, and continuous business need.
