Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Reviewer to join our team. This role requires strong expertise in reviewing tax returns and accounting work to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality. As a key member of our firm, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial services and maintaining our standard of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Review and Preparation

  • Review individual and business tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Prepare tax returns as needed
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate and up-to-date filings

Accounting Services

  • Review bookkeeping, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records
  • Provide accounting insights and recommendations to clients

Client Interaction

  • Communicate with clients to gather required financial information
  • Address client inquiries and explain tax and financial matters clearly and professionally
  • Foster strong client relationships and ensure a smooth engagement process

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure all work complies with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards
  • Prepare and review financial reports for internal and client use in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of tax experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred but not required)
  • CPA or EA certification (or in progress) preferred
  • Proven experience reviewing tax returns and accounting work
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow firm procedures and policies

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with GoSystem, SurePrep, and Practice CS is a plus
