Job description

Position: Tax Supervisor

Location:  Dayton, OH (Hybrid remote in Moraine, OH 45439)

Job Type: Full time Permanent with Direct client

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex returns and review individual and business tax returns.
  • Manage project deadlines and plan appropriately with all staff.
  • Maintain frequent contact with client and handle day-to-day client relationship issues.
  • Adhere to budgetary and time constraints.
  • Supervise, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for engagement and reviews.
  • Maintain knowledge on the changes in tax laws/regulations and industry trends.
  • Actively pursue professional development activities.
  • Set individual goals that support departmental and firm goals.

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or related field required.
  • CPA certification required
  • 3 – 5+ years of experience in public accounting.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during busy seasons.
  • Proficiency in research tools (RIA, CCH, etc.) and ProSystem fx Software preferred.
  • Experience working with clients from diverse industries.
  • Tax preparation and review skills are a plus.
