Responsibilities
  • Closely held business and pass-through entity specialization required 
  • Multi-state experience with corporate, pass-through, and 1040 clients 
  • Plan, manage and develop the company's tax process and compliance-related activities
  • Deliver a full range of tax and advisory services
  • Manage and support members of the accounting and tax teams
  • Research, organize and review client tax documentation
  • Delegate projects to appropriate team members
  • Review the work of team members and peers and provide feedback
  • Track reporting deadlines for clients and manage filing of extensions and estimates when applicable
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and create strategies to  capitalize on changes to tax legislation and educate team members and clients
  • Consult with clients regarding various tax and accounting matters
  • Perform research on tax and accounting topics as required
  • Develop tax plans for individual and business clients
  • Assist with in-house training for professional team members
What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in accounting/Tax 
  • Certified Public Accountant (required)
  • 4- 10 years experience in public accounting
  • State and local tax experience is preferred 
  • Recent experience managing tax engagements 
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of U.S. accounting, tax principles & IRS regulations 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proactive individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively 
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Curiosity/eagerness to learn and to teach and share knowledge 
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (required)
  • Experience with QuickBooks & QuickBooks Online (required) 
  • Experience with CCH/Axcess – Tax, Scan/Autoflow, Workflow, Document, Engagement (preferred)
