Job description

Are you a tax professional who enjoys the challenge of preparing and reviewing sophisticated individual and entity tax returns, thrives in the fast pace of tax season, and values delivering exceptional service to high-net-worth clients? If so, you may be a great fit for our Raleigh Tax team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and serving as a trusted resource for both clients and team members. This role will serve as a tax return signer and is ideal for a collaborative professional with strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a positive, team-oriented approach. Candidates with an active CPA or EA designation are encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support tax team on client matters, including:
  • Prepare and review complex Federal and state income tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, which could include Individual, Business, Estate and Gift Tax returns
  • Assist in the preparation of 1099s and other year-end related benefits calculations
  • Prepare and review quarterly tax projections
  • Support tax team with coordination of document needs
  • Answer client questions and respond to client inquiries, providing superior service and ensure successful resolution of any client need
  • Other tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required. (Finance or Accounting majors preferred)
  • Proficiency in UltraTax tax preparation software strongly preferred,
  • 3-5 years of work experience in financial industry, tax and/or related field
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines in a proactive manner with little supervision required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, professional presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with staff and clients

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA or EA candidate preferred
  • SurePrep, UltraTax, Fixed Assets CS and tax research experience a plus
