The Tax Preparer/Office Manager plays a dual role in managing tax preparation and overseeing office operations for a medium-sized team of 4 to 10 people. This position involves frequent client interactions, specifically preparing individual 1040 tax returns, while also ensuring smooth office administration, bookkeeping, and payroll processing. The role requires proficiency with tax and accounting software and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records and efficient team coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client workflows and coordinate with other tax preparers
  • Prepare individual (1040) tax returns accurately and efficiently
  • Manage client relationships and provide excellent customer service
  • Oversee office administration, including appointment scheduling and document management
  • Perform bookkeeping and payroll processing tasks
