Job Description:

Jambrina CPA is a local tax and accounting office. The company is a growing firm with a professional working environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Responsibilities:
  • Research, consult and proffer resolution to all IRS notices and other tax authorities.
  • Manage and execute complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries.
  • Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients.
  • Train and mentor associates and interns on tax projects
  • Prepared & Review tax returns prepared by staff and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities. ·
  • Review client’s current tax processes to identify inefficiencies and provide enhancements to improve the client experience and reduce tax exposure.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors through a commitment to outstanding client service.
  • Deliver a full range of State and Local Tax services including tax return preparation and review, international taxation, tax research, preparation of technical memorandums, drafting client correspondence, and counseling client in defending against state audits (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120s, 1040, 1040nr, 8804, 5471,5472).
  • Research all state & local tax issues and develop appropriate solutions that impact clients’ financial position.
  • Special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Qualification/ Requirement:

The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

  • Enrolled Agent License certification (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
  • Minimum of 8 years of U.S. federal and state tax compliance experience.
  • Experience with international tax compliance (required).
  • Proficiency in Thomson Reuters Tax Software (UltraTax required).
  • Spanish language skills (preferred).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, organization, communication, and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
