Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail oriented and motivated Tax Accountant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients across a wide range of industries, preparing tax returns and supporting ongoing accounting services. This is a fully in office position based in Athens, GA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
  • Stay current on federal and state tax regulations
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather information and answer questions
  • Reconcile accounts, assist with bookkeeping or financial statement preparation, and produce payroll taxes as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and deliver excellent client service

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • 2+ years of public accounting or tax preparation experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of UltraTax CS, QuickBooks Online and ADP software systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines
