Job description

We are currently seeking a full-time Environmental Project Manager/DoD Task Order Manager (8-10 years), with a strong hydrogeologic background and experience in the environmental consulting field join our team in our Pensacola, FL office. 

As an Environmental Project Manager, you will work on a wide range of projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. EnSafe emphasizes empowering staff to practice our profession passionately and without limitations.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:

  • Write and review technical reports, work plans, sampling plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Interface with clients and regulatory agencies, providing strategic guidance, presenting findings, and supporting negotiations.
  • Utilize advanced groundwater models to support site characterization and remediation/optimization strategies.
  • Interpret hydrogeologic data and synthesize field and analytical results to support reporting, risk assessments, remedial design, and regulatory decision-making.
  • Leading technical teams working across multiple offices throughout the country, problem-solving, preparing plans and specifications, and meeting with clients and subcontractors. 
  • Perform statistical evaluations, background studies, and associated reporting.
  • Projects could include CERCLA Remedial Investigations, mitigation, and response; in situ/ex-situ groundwater remediation and implementation; soil remediation system design and implementation; and remediation system operation, maintenance, and optimization. 
  • Oversee staff and project scientists to assess remedial sites
  • Drive hydrogeology-related initiatives to completion with clear accountability.
  • Lead project teams in developing conceptual site models and conducting contaminant fate and transport evaluations.
  • Oversee the quality assurance/quality control of deliverables pertaining to projects and tasks self-managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others. 
  • Work well with dynamic project teams and mentor junior staff. 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Hydrology, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • P.E or P.G. Certification 
  • 8-12 years of professional experience, preferably in environmental consulting. 
  • Strong background in hydrogeologic site characterization, groundwater flow and transport modeling and analysis, and environmental remediation/remedy optimization.
  • HAZWOPER training and certification. 
  • Experience with RCRA and CERCLA processes (RI/FS, RD/RA, ROD) and documentation. 
  • Prior environmental investigation and remediation experience.
  • Understanding of Federal facility policies, procedures, and regulations. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft program products. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong work ethic. 
  • Ability to travel to support ongoing environmental projects.
