Job description

The Task Force Officer will be responsible for promoting the NCC mission in all service delivery, ensuring quality, professionalism and efficiency of the services provided. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, residents, visitors, employees and surrounding public by patrolling and monitoring premises. The Task Force Officer will report to the Security Operations Manager. 

  • Assist security officers with security of all NCC building properties.
  • Respond to request for security assistance and crimes in progress, collaborate with law enforcement when necessary.
  • Respond to alarms and calls of distress; contact Security Base Station, police, or fire departments in cases of emergency.
  • Circulate throughout NCC properties to preserve order, surveillance and protect property. Complete detailed written reports for any security-related activity.
  • Enforce housing rules, visitor policies, and guidelines in accordance with NCC standards.
  • Assist in incident investigations and in targeted investigatory assignments,
  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures. 

  • High Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid New Jersey SORA Armed Security Officer Certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Valid firearm permit
  • Minimum 1-3 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or overnight shifts as needed
  • Maintain NCC training requirements.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States and successfully pass all requisite pre- employment tests.
