RESTAURANT EXPEDITOR
The Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett is seeking a dynamic, service-driven Restaurant Expeditor to join our restaurant team. In this role, you'll serve as the critical link between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring every dish leaves accurately, efficiently, and to standard. Beyond the pass, this position supports the broader dining operation through table service, beverage assistance, and room service delivery, all while representing the hotel with a polished, professional demeanor and a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction.
The 232-room Delta Hotels by Marriott Seattle Everett is a premium, full-service hotel in the heart of Everett, featuring beautiful event spaces, upscale accommodations and exclusive amenities. We take pride in delivering an elevated experience for each guest, and we're looking for team members who share that standard.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate the flow of orders between the kitchen line and servers to ensure timely, accurate delivery
  • Inspect all dishes before they leave the kitchen for presentation, temperature, accuracy, and completeness
  • Organize and communicate order tickets, priorities and modifications clearly to the kitchen line
  • Assist with plating and garnishing dishes as directed by the chef
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and organization of the expo station throughout service
  • Communicate delays, substitutions, or service issues to front-of-house staff
  • Deliver food to tables and assist servers during high-volume periods as needed
  • Deliver room service orders to guest rooms accurately and in a timely manner, while adhering to hotel presentation and service standards
  • Clear, bus, and reset tables promptly to maintain dining room flow, cleanliness, and guest readiness
  • Assist with refilling water and serving beverages to guests as needed
  • Greet guests professionally and courteously and respond to guest inquiries in a timely manner
  • Respond to guest needs during service including refilling water, clearing dishes as appropriate, and check in with guests during service
  • Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate
  • Maintain a composed, courteous demeanor under pressure and during high-volume service

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1 year of restaurant or food service experience
  • Previous experience in expeditor, server, line cook, or similar role preferred
  • Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) system preferred
  • Valid Food Worker Card
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to relay information clearly and efficiently between kitchen and front-of-house staff.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple orders in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional during busy service periods
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing orders and delivering food
  • Ability to provide courteous, friendly, and professional guest service
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Position requires the ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility to move through kitchen and dining areas on a continuous basis. Ability to express or exchange information by means of the spoken word in a noisy environment. Visual acuity to monitor tickets, food presentation, order accuracy, and surrounding activity. Must be able to bend, reach, twist, grasp, lift, carry, push, and pull.
