What You’ll Do
As our Ophthalmologist, you will:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams and diagnose ocular conditions
- Deliver preventative, therapeutic, and surgical care
- Conduct procedures including:
- Cataract and glaucoma surgeries
- Refractive and corneal procedures
- Vitreo-retinal and oculoplastic surgeries
- Laser treatments
- Provide post-operative care and patient education
- Collaborate with Optometry and multidisciplinary teams
- Lead outreach village field clinics and support community care initiatives
- Contribute to quality improvement, reporting, and clinical excellence
Where You’ll Work
- Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center (CAIHC)
- TCC Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
- Occasional travel to rural village clinics
What You Bring
- MD or DO from an accredited program
- Completion of Ophthalmology residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABO)
- Eligible for Alaska medical licensure
- Strong clinical, surgical, and decision-making skills
- Passion for culturally responsive, patient-centered care
