The Opportunity
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and customer-focused Flight Scheduling Data Analyst to support flight training operations at the Prescott Campus.
The Flight Scheduling Data Analyst serves as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the university's flight scheduling and training management systems. This position is responsible for managing Flight Training Software platforms, analyzing and reporting operational data, supporting scheduling functions, and ensuring system integrity across multiple flight operations applications.
Working independently and collaboratively with flight department leadership, instructors, scheduling personnel, and student employees, the Flight Scheduling Data Analyst develops reports, maintains system permissions, manages software configurations, and supports strategic initiatives through data-driven decision making.
This position also serves as a key resource for specialized projects, documentation development, instructor system training, and operational support functions. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, technical aptitude, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic flight training environment.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Aviation, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience supporting software systems, scheduling operations, data management, or aviation-related operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with databases, reporting tools, and data analytics.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret data and generate reports that support operational decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to learn, administer, and support specialized software applications.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a collegiate aviation, flight training, or higher education environment.
- Familiarity with ETA/Talon Systems Flight Training Software.
- Experience administering or supporting CloudAhoy, FlightOps, Clipboard, SplashBI, or similar operational software platforms.
- Knowledge of flight scheduling, resource management, or aviation operations.
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, and business intelligence analytics.
- Experience training users on software systems and technical processes.
- Experience supporting operational, scheduling, or workforce management systems.
- Knowledge of FAA flight training environments and aviation education programs.
- Experience supervising or coordinating student employees.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting functions.
- Experience managing software permissions, user access controls, and system configurations.
