Job description

GVI Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Acquisition Logistician - Senior to join our team in Groton, CT.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serves as the CLB Class Supply Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all areas to include Provisioning, Allowancing, Funding, Outfitting, Fitting Out and ILS Certification.
  • Provides support for standing up and conducting the CLB Class Outfitting Execution Planning Meeting. Identify Key Stakeholders and Meeting Frequency to allow for proper planning for the Outfitting and Fitting out of the Lead Ship Pre-Commissioning Unit (PCU) DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (SSBN-826) and all follow-on Ships of the COLUMBIA Class. (To be established with Electric Boat in FY24).
  • Provide direct support to the Chair of the CLB Class COSAL Maintenance Action (CMA) review panel. In this capacity the Supply Support SME will review all available technical information and will provide the Supply Support Readiness Manager with a Technical Recommendation and Justification for each HME COSAL CMA Processed.
  • Responds to both Internal and External request for comments and opinion for documentation in the areas of Supply Support Policy and Guidance, to include instructions, notices, and publications. All reviews to consider change or update that impacts the Acquisition, Construction, Sustainment and Disposal of the CLB Class Submarine Program.
  • Serves as the Provisioning SME supports provisioning related events including the Development of Provisioning Metrics, briefing during flag level program reviews for the Program Manager (PM), Product Support Manager (PSM) and other senior stakeholders. Participates in provisioning product quality discussions and process improvement meetings with both Internal and external stakeholders. Provide input to update existing provisioning policy and guidance.
  • Participates in all CLB Supply Support meetings including Supply Support Process Integration Team (SS PIT), Supply Support Working Group (SSWG) and other CLB Class Supply Support Events to include Provisioning Working Groups, PARM Support Meetings, Shipyard Outfitting Working Groups, and CLB Stowage SITs.
  • Liaisons with the Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) On-Site Logistic Representative (SP206) on all Supply Support material matters pertaining to the Strategic Weapon System "SWS" COSAL Outfitting and Fitting Out areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinates / Supports Naval Sea Logistics Center (NSLC) Mechanicsburg Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) Outfitting Team with the development, deployment, and initialization of the Hazardous Material Information System (HMIS) application onboard CLB Platforms during Construction.
  • General-Purpose Electronic Test Equipment (GPETE) Product Development, Outfitting and Fitting Out areas of responsibility.
  • Supports the Outfitting and Fitting Out Activities with multiple Stakeholders including the Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Office for Shipboard Physical Fitness Equipment and Commander Navy Installation Command (CINC) for Shipboard Library & Recreation Outfitting, Naval Medical Readiness Logistic Command (NMRLC) for all Authorized Medical and (AMAL), Authorized Dental (AMAL) requirements.
  • Provides expertise to the CLB Class General Use Consumable List (GUCL) process. Develop and maintain CLB Class Guidance for Provisioning, Use of System Level APLS (89K), General Use Consumables (GUCL) Outfitting, Post Delivery ASI Processing, Field Activity Tasking requirements, LDS Process Interface.
  • Supports the CLB Class Provisioning Technical Data Package (PTD) Reconciliation Process Working Group to include the development and execution of a reconciliation of a PTD effort that includes a review of all Maintenance (MRC/MS/SMP) and Logistic Technical Documentation (LTD) (Component Technical Manuals) products that provide support for all CLB level of maintenance.
  • Provides support to the Supply Support Readiness Manager (SSRM) by drafting responses as need to CLB Program Office Material Inquires, Material Issues and Short Fused Taskers, as requested.
  • Develops reports (as required), meeting agendas and associated minutes.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be eligible for and able to maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years of Logistics experience working Logistics in the areas of Supply Support, Allowancing Outfitting/Fitting Out, and Provisioning.
  • Must be eligible/willing to travel at least 5 days per month to attend meetings in Washington DC; Bangor/Keyport WA; Kings Bay, GA, and other related locations.
