About the Company / The Opportunity:

Join a rapidly growing technology company within the aerospace and defense industry that is developing advanced systems and innovative solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial attorney to support a growing supply chain organization by managing complex vendor and supplier agreements, advising cross-functional teams, and helping build scalable contracting processes within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a hands-on role where they can take ownership of projects, partner closely with business teams, and provide practical legal guidance that supports company growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including supplier agreements, subcontracts, statements of work (SOWs), purchase orders, master service agreements, NDAs, and technical services agreements.
  • Ensure contractual requirements and obligations are appropriately addressed in agreements with vendors and suppliers.
  • Support government contracting requirements by reviewing and implementing applicable FAR, DFARS, OTA, certifications, and compliance obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, engineering, finance, and business teams to support contract execution and help drive company objectives.
  • Develop scalable contracting resources, including templates and internal guidance tools, to improve efficiency and consistency across the business.
  • Support government and commercial contract compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on export controls, trade compliance, sourcing restrictions, and related regulatory matters.
  • Provide practical legal guidance and risk assessments to business leaders and program teams.
  • Assist with supplier-related disputes and contract issues as needed.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
  • 5+ years of transactional legal experience focused on commercial contracts, procurement, supply chain, or government contracting.
  • Experience with FAR/DFARS requirements and federal contracts and subcontracts.
  • Industry experience in hardware, defense, government contracting, or similar highly technical industries.
  • Strong experience managing a high volume of contracts and negotiating agreements within business timelines.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with export control regulations.
  • Familiarity with trade compliance, sanctions, and customs requirements.
  • Understanding of supply chain risk management.
  • Experience creating contract training materials, playbooks, and internal processes.
