Overview

As the Associate Director/Digital Producer, you'll helm a digital-based production engagement, partnering closely with creative, account, media, and project management teams and overseeing complex digital productions. The client in question has a large volume of creative needs, including master asset production and local adaptation and transcreation for display, digital OOH, OLV, and social channels.

This is a 4-week freelance position with potential for an extension. 

Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis, this role entails:

 

  • Building relationships with the agency and client and becoming a trusted partner on digitally focused opportunities and projects
  • Delineating and establishing the elements and phases of digital production, including roles and responsibilities, process maps, workflow, timing, quality control, tracking and archiving work, and trafficking/distribution (retouching, ai content creation, banners, social, OLVs)
  • Proactively thinking of ways to improve team communication and developing processes that lead to more effective collaboration
  • Acting as a conduit between creative and production/technology; serving as the primary point of contact with other creative agency teams, media, content partners, and ThePub/digital studio (onshore/offshore)
  • Organizing all project requests and assets so that they can be easily tracked and updated as needed; partnering with the BA team to ensure all assets have ADIDs and that usage and talent are appropriately managed
  • Introducing new and innovative technologies and ideas to help elevate digital creative work as well as our process and workflow, including elements such as dynamic production and versioning, AI-driven optimization, and virtual production
  • Demonstrating your value to the agency and client teams on a day-to-day basis by addressing challenges, merchandising our work, and regularly sharing wins, best practices, and new opportunities
  • Supporting the PM team with management of workload, projects, and process
  • Leading meetings and interfacing with brand/agency leaders as required during the process-from the planning and briefing stages through delivery
  • Assisting with agency's new business opportunities on occasion 
Qualifications

We're looking for substantive, impactful work experience, which typically includes the following:

 

  • A four-year degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Seven to 9 years as an account manager and/or digital producer, with considerable creative production/agency expertise
  • Full command of all aspects of digital production, with a passion for keeping ahead of emerging technologies to help us prioritize innovation in our work and in our process 
  • Creativity and proactive problem-solving skills
  • Experience in and full working knowledge of all disciplines of agency production (with an emphasis on digital)
  • Demonstration of leadership, confidence, and a positive attitude at all times
  • Senior client-facing skills integral to the position (relationship management and technology/digital production knowledge)
  • Listening, mediation, and issue-resolution skills
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and diverse talents
  • Familiarity with prompt-based interaction and commonly used generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DALLE, Midjourney) is a plus, especially for tasks like ideation, research, or content generation
