Job description

Our client is a premier power generation and heavy equipment solutions provider with a reputation for delivering robust, mission-critical infrastructure. Partnering with top-tier OEMs like Caterpillar, they support some of the most demanding and large-scale industrial projects in the nation, offering exceptional opportunities for professionals to drive high-visibility infrastructure expansions.

Summary:

The Project Manager focuses on the end-to-end lifecycle delivery of power generation deployments, taking ownership from initial unit shipment through final startup and commissioning. A successful candidate in this role will blend high-voltage electrical expertise with rigorous supply chain, logistics, and vendor management skills to keep complex technical deployments on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of power generation deployments, focusing heavily on industrial line generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and paralleling switchgear.

  • Direct complex logistics, transportation, and site staging to ensure massive equipment arrives precisely on schedule from manufacturing facilities to regional job sites.

  • Validate technical Bills of Materials (BOM), issue purchase orders, and coordinate front-end manufacturing release authorizations.

  • Control project financials, including budget forecasting, cost alignment, and execution schedules, to meet strict delivery milestones.

  • Coordinate directly with field execution teams, subcontractors, and client stakeholders during CST L2L5 site commissioning phases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.

  • 5+ years of project management experience focusing on mission-critical, data center, or heavy industrial power construction.

  • Advanced technical knowledge of high-voltage infrastructure, ATS, paralleling switchgear, and industrial generators.

  • Demonstrated industry experience with heavy procurement, BOM management, and OEM/Caterpillar equipment deployments.

  • PMP, CAPM, or related formal project management certifications are highly advantageous.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% to regional job sites and out-of-state manufacturing facilities.
