POSITION SUMMARY:
The Talent Acquisition (T.A.) Specialist is responsible for hourly recruitment sourcing in the East Lime and Minerals divisions, while also providing recruiting process support for the T.A. team on salaried recruitment. Key duties include candidate identification and attraction, company branding, candidate experience, onboarding, and social media initiatives.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include development of offer letters, initiation and review of pre-hire screens and assessments, support of new hire orientation, assistance with updating job position descriptions, scheduling candidate screenings and participating in interviews, providing reoccurring updates to hiring managers, HRBPs, and stakeholders, communicating and processing candidate dispositions, and other HR tasks, as needed (i.e. employee benefits, employee engagement).
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
  • Develop and implement strategies to research, source, recruit, and retain diverse hourly candidates that will directly contribute to the Company's growth and business goals.
  • Manage the hourly recruitment process of East Lime and Minerals Divisions.
  • Partnering with managers to meet staffing needs by introducing top talents to the company and become a trusted recruitment business partner by understanding hiring needs, identifying trends and making recommendations.
  • Nurturing relationships with managers and prospective talents, providing an excellent experience to both.
  • Working collaboratively with Recruitment team and HR Teams.
  • Performing general recruitment responsibilities tasks (filing workday data entry, posting jobs, launching assessments, sending candidates required site safety forms, scheduling candidate travel, assisting with candidate's onsite interview agenda, assist with setting up video, phone, and onsite interviews, developing offer letters, assist with onboarding/offboarding activities such as pre-employment testing and background checks, and training).
  • Assist and track updates of RRE's (job descriptions) for hourly positions across locations of East Lime & Minerals Divisons.
  • Lead all new hire orientations for employees, assisting hiring managers with the development of onboarding processes, and updating records of new staff and organizational announcements
  • Work closely with Recruiters, other TA Specialists and HR Leaders.
  • Following-up with search firms, consultants, vendors, college/universities, and others who offer access to potential diverse candidates, and knowledge and opportunities that will help the company grow and progress its diversity goals
  • As needed, maintain and track networking relationships in the mining industry, local communities, local high schools, college/universities, professional organizations, and trade schools to introduce potential candidates to the Company.
  • Maintain accurate data in HRIS Workday system for employees and new hires, including photos in their personnel profile.
  • Maintaining both hard and digital copies of employees' and applicants' records.
  • Assisting with managing data and analytics related to recruitment and retention efforts within the assigned division.
  • Participate in the planning, coordination, and executing of other HR activities when directed like employee engagement, benefits open enrollment campaign, MVR process, and employee communication.
  • Promoting safety awareness and compliance across the organization.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of background check and/or drug screening (if applicable).
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as required by business needs.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed and/or directed by leadership.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
  • Associate degree in HR, Communication, Business, and/or Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and working experience in the HR field.

PREFFERED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • SPHR/PHR certification is a plus.
  • Proficient Spanish language both speaking and writing skills is a plus.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of demonstrated talent acquisition experience on all levels and diversity experience in a fast-paced union or non-union heavy manufacturing, construction, corporate, mining and mineral processing environment. Previous recruitment and relocation coordination experience is highly desired.

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:
  • Good understanding of Human Resources functional areas such are recruitment, compensation, benefits, relocation, DE&I, and communication/ community engagement is a plus.
