Equipment Operator

 Monday–Friday (occasional weekends as needed)

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Equipment Operator to support daily non-ferrous operations. This role involves operating forklifts, small loaders or skidsteers, managing the kiosk, and ensuring materials are sorted and processed according to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate forklifts and other yard equipment
  • Manually unload customer scrap metal
  • Perform equipment inspections to ensure safe operation
  • Load, unload, and sort materials
  • Inspect materials to meet quality standards
  • Understand and apply knowledge of material grades and acceptable loads
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Experience operating forklifts or similar equipment preferred
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Ability to work in an outdoor, industrial environment
  • Knowledge of scrap metal materials and grades is a plus
